Do I have to book a room with lake view or is a room with village view ok?
The rooms facing the lake offer a unique view of Spiez Castle, Lake Thun and the Bernese Alps. From the rooms on the other side you can see the quiet residential area and from the rooms on the upper floors the mountain world of the Bernese Oberland. It is personal preferences how important the view should be during your stay.
Which room category do I need to book to have a closed bathroom during my stay?
About half of all hotel rooms are designed with an open room concept, i.e. the bathroom is open to the sleeping area. If you would like more privacy, please state when making your reservation that you would like a closed bathroom.
Are double rooms with two single mattresses (twin beds) available?
The rooms are furnished with comfortable mattresses - some with box-spring beds. If you would like a double room with two single mattresses, please let us know when you make your reservation.

How can I have my luggage sent to Spiez?
Save yourself the hassle of hauling your suitcases around and make use of the luggage service we provide in cooperation with SBB. Your luggage is collected from your home and will be waiting for you in your hotel room when you arrive. More information and booking >
How do I get from the station to the hotel?
The Eden Spiez is located on a sunny terrace just below the Spiez train station and can be reached within 10 minutes on foot. If you let us know your time of arrival in good time, we will be happy to pick you up at the information pavilion of the local tourism organisation at the railway station.
Where can I park my vehicle?
The in-house parking garage is bright and clearly laid out and has 56 parking spaces - 4 of them with charging stations for electric vehicles. A parking reservation is not possible. Parking fees of CHF 12 per day will be charged.
Where can I charge my electric vehicle?
The Eden Parking has 4 charging stations for electric vehicles. We charge a fee of CHF 5 per day.
Where can I park my bike (bicycle)?
A covered and lockable bicycle room is available at the Eden Parking.
When can I move into my room on the day of arrival?
On the day of arrival, the reserved hotel room is generally available from 3 p.m. If you arrive earlier, we will be happy to arrange your luggage for you.
Is the reception desk manned 24/7?
The reception is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. If you wish to leave before 7 a.m., please contact the hotel reception by 10.30 p.m. the evening before. From 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. there is a night porter for your security.
Until when can I use the room on the day of departure?
We ask you to vacate your room by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure. The Eden Spa is at your free disposal until 14.00 hrs.
How can I pay the hotel bill?
You can pay the hotel bill with the usual credit and debit cards. We accept cash payments in Swiss Francs (CHF) Euro and US Dollars and charge at the daily exchange rate.
Are there any fees such as visitor's tax or other local taxes?
A visitor's tax of CHF 3.50 is charged per guest and night.
STAY
Is smoking in the room allowed?
Smoking is not permitted in all guest rooms, in the Eden Spa (incl. sunbathing terrace) and public guest areas. We kindly ask you to refrain from smoking on the balconies - your room neighbours will thank you for this. Smokers and cigarette smokers will find ideal conditions in the Smokers Lounge and on the adjacent outdoor terrace.
Are laundry and ironing facilities freely available at the hotel?
There is no washing machine available at Eden Spiez. We are happy to wash and iron your laundry for a fee. An ironing room for self ironing is available.
What is the voltage of the sockets?
The voltage is 230 Volt, the frequency 50 Hz. In Switzerland two-pole (type C) and three-pole (type J) plugs are used. - So you will have no problems with razors and other electrical appliances. Nevertheless, it is advisable to carry a mains adapter with you. For a deposit, we will gladly provide you with an adapter at the reception desk.
Do you have bedding for allergy sufferers?
If you require bedding for allergy sufferers, please let us know when making your reservation or contact the reception during your stay.
Do the hotel rooms have a minibar?
Yes, every hotel room has a mini bar, which is stocked with a basic range of drinks.
Do the hotel rooms have a hair dryer?
There is a hair dryer in every bathroom.
Is it possible to prepare a coffee or tea in the room?
In each room there is a coffee machine, a selection of capsules and a kettle with a selection of teas.
Can I deposit the valuables in a safe in the hotel room?
A safe is located in every hotel room.
Is there an internet connection?
A free WLAN is available in the whole house. Free broadband Internet (LAN) is also available in every room. Connection cable and password are available at the reception. A guest computer is available on request.
Do the hotel rooms have air conditioning?
Yes, all hotel rooms are equipped with air conditioning, which makes it possible to cool down the temperature by about 7 degrees.
When is breakfast served and for how long?
The breakfast can be taken from 7.00 to 10.30 a.m. - on weekends and holidays until 11.00 a.m.
Are dogs allowed in the hotel?
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Eden Spiez. Please let us know at the time of booking that you will be travelling with a dog. We will be happy to reserve a table for you in the Eden Bistro Bar and in summer on the lakeside terrace with veranda. Pets are not allowed in the Restaurant Belle Epoque.
Is the hotel barrier-free?
The Eden Spiez is completely barrier-free and every floor can be reached by lift. There is also one hotel room available, which can be accessed by wheelchairs.
Are there family rooms or a room category suitable for families?
There are no family rooms. However, children and young people can stay in their parents' room. For children up to 2 years of age, baby beds are provided for CHF 10 per night. Children from 3 to 13 years of age pay CHF 55 per night for an extra bed in their parents' room. Children from 14 to 17 years of age pay CHF 100 per night. Due to the size of the rooms, cots and cots are only available in superior category rooms. A total of three rooms with connecting door are available.
SPA AND WELLNESS
Is the use of the wellness area included in the room price?
The room rate includes access to the Eden Spa for guests over 18 years old. The panoramic indoor pool can also be visited by children accompanied by their parents.
How big is the spa area?
The Eden Spa with its various attractions such as outdoor brine pool, salt grotto, sauna area, panorama indoor pool and relaxation rooms measures over 650 m2.
Is there a gym?
The most modern cardio equipment is available in the Résidence. Towels and water are available. The small fitness area can be entered from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. with your room card.
Do you offer massages and beauty treatments?
In our treatment rooms at the Eden Spa we offer various massages - from classic to exotic - by appointment. Our reception team will be happy to advise you and take your reservation.

Our partner "Beauty Oasis" in the Résidence is at your disposal for beauty treatments. Our reception team will be happy to advise you and take your reservation.
Can I also use the SPA area on the day of departure?
The Eden Spa is at your disposal until 1 p.m. on the day of departure.

What can I do in the region around Spiez?
Spiez is located in the destination Thun-Thunersee (www.thunersee.ch) and is not far from Interlaken (www.interlaken.ch) and the Jungfrau Region (www.jungfrauregion.swiss).
How far is the Spiez ship station from the Eden Spiez?
The boat station of BLS Schifffahrt Berner Oberland can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
Where is the nearest golf course?
The following golf courses are easily accessible from Spiez:

RESTAURANT AND BAR
Do you offer vegetarian, gluten-free or lactose-free options?
For guests with food intolerances, we offer gluten-free and lactose-free meals as standard. Please contact the service staff. Vegetarian meals - vegan meals are also available, please contact us in advance.
Can I eat something outside of the service hours?
In the Eden Bistro Bar cold and warm meals are served from 11.30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
How long is the hotel bar open in the evening?
The Eden Bistro Bar is open daily until midnight. Meals are served until 10 p.m.
Do I have to reserve a table in the restaurant?
For the Restaurant Belle Epoque we recommend you make a table reservation in good time. Alternatively, you can use the cosy Eden Bistro-Bar and, in the warm season, the lake terrace with veranda.
Can I book the restaurant for an event?
For company or family celebrations there are various rooms available in our conference centre. Our event team will be happy to advise you.
HOLIDAY APARTMENT
What do I need to bring for a stay in a holiday apartment?
In our holiday apartments we provide linen such as kitchen towels, bed linen and towels. The apartments and studios are fully equipped for your stay (including coffee machine, hair dryer). Things for daily use can be bought in local grocery stores from Monday to Saturday.
